Dr. Miller completed his pre-doctoral primary care psychology internship at the CU School of Medicine, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in family medicine. He has served as principal investigator for state contracts and federal and foundation grants focused on integrating behavioral health and primary care. He is a technical expert on the AHRQ Innovations Exchange, member of the International Advisory Board of the British Journal of General Practice, past president of the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, and faculty member for the IHI and the CMMI Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative (CPCI) program. Dr. Miller consults on clinical, operational and financial components of integrating mental health and primary care, as well as the policy implications for these models. He directed the Farley Health Policy Center the past three years, and remains a senior policy advisor part time. He accepted a leadership role, chief policy advisor, the summer of 2017, for a national foundation, Well Being Trust, dedicated to advancing mental, social and spiritual well-being.
