Molly Nowels, MA

After graduating from California Lutheran University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Molly attended the University of Connecticut and received an MA in developmental psychology, during which she discovered her affinity for data and statistics. She is currently in the MS program in biostatistics at the University of Colorado School of Public Health. Her current research focuses on using healthcare claims data and data from the American Community Survey to assess healthcare utilization patterns for people with chronic disease and behavioral health concerns. Molly’s research interests include racial/ethnic, gender, and poverty-related health disparities, mental health, social determinants of health, longitudinal statistical modeling, and access to quality healthcare among underserved populations.
