Reginaldo Garcia, PhD

Dr. Garcia is a clinical psychologist who received his training at the University of Colorado Boulder and Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences. He enjoyed many years in full- and part-time practice as a provider and consultant in medical, psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals, outpatient clinics, residential treatment facilities, and K-12 schools. His most satisfying work was as a member of multidisciplinary care teams and upcoming integrated health care teams collaboratively treating persons with mental health, substance use, developmental, medical, and lifestyle problems. Dr. Garcia recently closed his clinical practice as a first step toward retirement. Starting his 10th year of work with the University of Colorado Denver, he continues professionally and personally fulfilling work in prevention and implementation research and research partnership development working with inspiring and supportive colleagues at the Clinical Sciences Translational Institute, Rocky Mountain Prevention Research Center and San Luis Valley Community Advisory Board, Department of Family Medicine, Trailhead Institute, and Farley Health Policy Center.
